2021 End of Year REID Lifting Review

A year in review

2021 has been one of the most challenging times in recent history. Like all businesses, at REID Lifting, we have worked hard and tirelessly to ensure that our company continues to thrive and be able to offer our customers the same outstanding products and services that they deserve.

Against a backdrop of political and economic turmoil, we have launched new products, expanded our range of accessories, and even won awards in the prestigious LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) 2021 Awards.

The team at REID are incredibly proud of all our achievements in 2021 and are now looking forward to a well-deserved break over the festive period before beginning 2022 with the launch of some exciting new product innovations and updates.

REID Lifting successfully launch the T Davit for Rope Access

Due to increasing industry demand for a confined space rope access solution, in 2021, we launched the REID T Davit for Rope Access. The product was an immediate success with many requests and orders coming in only days after the product was launched. In only twelve months, the T Davit for Rope Access has become a firm favourite and has been used in a wide variety of rope access applications.

The T Davit for Rope Access was specifically designed to meet BS8610:2017 Personal Fall Protection Equipment Anchor Systems requirements. T Davit for Rope Access launch Innovation is at the heart of what we do. We believe that we have laid down a significant marker in the rope access safety market with the launch of the UK’s first third party, witness tested BS8610: 2017 and EN795: 2012 certified Davit solution.

Ambitious accessories range expansion

The lifting system industry is constantly developing new products and accessories to optimise performance and maximise safety. At REID, we are industry leaders in product innovation and have an excellent professional reputation for our innovative product range and outstanding selection of product accessories.

In 2021, we expanded our portable bases and socket range by adding the Porta Base Counterbalance Trailer Hitch and Trench Mount socket. These accessories allow our Davit range to be used across a more diverse range of industries and applications.

We have also expanded our accessories for our Porta Gantry range, by creating new Shackled Cheek Plates. Our new Shackled Cheek Plates create a safer way to move a load during a lifting operation and enable a controlled movement of a load by ensuring gantry stability while traversing a load along the beam.
