Our PORTADAVIT QUANTUM is a one-piece rapidly deployable solution that is available in a stropped or winched variant, they offer tremendous strength to weight ratio with the smallest stropped unit weighing just 18kg and can lift up 600kg. The innovative design of the PORTADAVIT QUANTUM transfers the load to the kingpin at the base of the davit.

Suitable with our range of portable bases and sockets, the PORTADAVIT QUANTUM is ideal for lifting tasks where lightweight portability is a key priority.

Each variant is available in two sizes, the PDQ1 provides a maximum radius of 1200mm and a maximum height of lift of 2111mm and the PDQ2 a maximum radius of 1500mm and a maximum height of lift of 1957mm.

Key Features for Goods Lifting

• Radius adjustment points – Each davit has 3 radius adjustment points of 100mm. This enables the radius to be reduced, whilst increasing the height of lift to the maximum available. The radius adjustment provides simple flexibility when sockets are installed at different positions on a site or even on various sites, which may require different reaches dependent on the lift or application and ensure the best possibility of achieving a vertical lift.

• Easy rotation under load – The PORTADAVIT QUANTUM is assembled around a 65mm kingpin, which incorporates two patented bearings. This enables the davit to rotate under load with reasonable effort. We also offer a rotational handle that can be easily fitted to the column of the PORTADAVIT QUANTUM to aid in rotation under load, learn more about our rotational handle here.

• One-piece retractable, lightweight construction – Due to a number of patented features, the PORTADAVIT QUANTUM folds and the davit arm retracts enabling the product to be easily stowed in a small space, placed in a small vehicle and transported to and around a worksite using the integrated carry handle or storage bag which is included as standard. The retractable davit is assembled quickly with pins.

• No welding – No element of the davit is welded, eliminating the potential for weld fatigue and catastrophic failure of the lifting device. If overloaded, the davit would suffer benign failure, acting as an early warning signal to the user and minimising risk.

• Manufactured from marine grade aluminium – The PORTADAVIT QUANTUM is constructed from aluminium which is anodised to provide a quality surface finish and a good level of corrosion resistance for even the harshest environments. This makes the davit suitable for ATEX (explosive) environments [ATEX Zone 2 is standards, Zone 1 can be achieved with a simple upgrade].

• Quick and easy assembly – No tools are required to assemble the PORTADAVIT QUANTUM. Assembly is completed by using a range of push pins and knurled nuts. You can watch our assembly videos here.

• Double shackle head – Each variant of the PORTADAVIT QUANTUM has a double shackle head which enables a primary lifting device such as an electric hoist to be attached, as well as a secondary or safety device such as a lifting chain.

• Easy attachment of accessories to winched variant – Both the PDQ1W and PDQ2W has a double sheave head which allows for our range of winch brackets to be easily attached to either the column or backstay.
